Microgaming Adds New Lucky Firecracker Video Slot

February 3, 2015

Canada is a long way from China, but the new Lucky Firecracker video slot will give Canadian players a lot to get excited about when it comes to the Chinese New Year. This game uses a format with five reels and three rows, and it's based around the 243 ways layout that's exceptionally popular among Microgaming's newer releases. This game is a typical situation with this software developer where they're using a game with a fairly tame theme to test out new features and gameplay options that they might use in major releases later in the year.

What players will recognize first with this game is that it's based largely around a free spins bonus feature. This is something that's always gotten a lot of attention in the online slot world ever since video slots became the norm, and you'll be able to get 15 of these free turns at a time with a 3x multiplier applied to all of your wins. The thing about this feature is that you're going to really be able to run things up if you retrigger the feature because it can be triggered indefinitely to give you as many free spins as you can win at a time.

The main strategy that online casino software developers use today is about testing in the same way that they do their marketing. Each software developer will have a maximum of four or five major hits that are released during each year that get the most attention. They need these games to be the best that they have to offer, so they're not going to risk them with features that haven't been tested. Along these lines, they'll offer regular games that come out frequently to pad their total number of titles while simultaneously testing out new features to see how they get over with the players.

Microgaming is one of the top online casino software developers in the business, and their approach to systematically testing things out while they find new trends is one of the reasons why their games were some of the most popular in 2014. With innovative features and extra ways to win that you haven't seen before, they're able to provide players with the gameplay that they believe makes the difference instead of just relying on the standard set of bonus options that you find in a lot of games.
